Moulding Process Technician - manufacturing experience - knowledge of the Blow Moulding Manufacturing process - based Bromyard, Herefordshire - salary £22k to £26K depending upon experience.

We are looking for a Moulding Process Technician with manufacturing experience and knowledge of the Blow Moulding Manufacturing process

Candidates for the position of Moulding Process Technician (Blow Moulding Manufacturing process) must be computer literate with sound interpersonal skills

Reporting to the Production Manager, the role of Moulding Process Technician (Blow Moulding Manufacturing process) will be to assist in ensuring that all manufacturing processes are designed, planned, installed and maintained for optimum labour, material and plant efficiency.

You would also be required to develop manufacturing processes through the Continuous Improvement and 5S philosophy.

Day to day duties of the Moulding Process Technician (Blow Moulding Manufacturing process) will include:

1. Assisting in the development of specifications for design and construction of tools, jigs, fixtures and packaging.
2. Giving advice to those estimating new business on process route, labour content and appropriate jigs, fixtures and packaging materials.
3. Giving support to Product Launch Teams.
4. Contributing to the FMEA process and layout plans.
5. Assisting in process/product trials.
6. Contributing to operator training.
7. Making recommendations re new technology
8. Working with the Research and Development team on investigation into new products, machinery or processes.
9. Liaising with suppliers
10. Generating Standard Operation Sheets for all new jigs, fixtures and processes
11. Recommending and expediting process and methods improvements that will lead to reduced manufacturing costs, improved quality and improved layout.

The hours for this position will initially be Mon to Thurs 8.00 to 16.45 and Friday 08.00 to 12.30.
