Wayleave Warden (EAW) - National Grid Electricity Safety Rules - OHL design knowledge - site management experience - NEBOSH/Safety Management qualification - planning skills - surveying - to work at various sites throughout England and Wales - salary £25 - 29K

We are looking for a Wayleave Warden (EAW) with good knowledge of National Grid Electricity Safety Rules, surveying and OHL design knowledge.

Candidates for the position of Wayleave Warden (EAW/National Grid) must have excellent planning skills and substantial site management experience

You must be able to demonstrate successful capability in people management and have your NEBOSH/Safety Management qualification

A relevant Engineering qualification is desirable.

The role of Wayleave Warden (EAW/National Grid) reports to the Operations Manager and the day to day duties will include:

* Visiting every site accompanied by the Engineer and General Foreman to confirm land take areas, access to work positions and towers and to produce an Access Development schedule.
* Identifying and marking any services taking information from drawings, markers, third party information and appropriate ground scanning techniques.
* Assisting with the production of Risk Assessments for access routes and working areas.
* Installing demarcation of agreed working areas, access routes, GS6 barriers and F10 boards.
* Monitoring and maintaining all biological precautions stipulated in the access requirements
* Arranging with Local Authorities, Highways Agency and Police etc where road/footpath closures or restrictions may be required.
* Obtaining Planning Permissions for new accesses to Public Highways and any widening of existing gateways.
* Liaising with the environmental advisors to review and ensure mitigation for SSSI, flora and fauna, archaeological impacts etc. are in place.
* Supervising access development contractors ensuring their people are competent, their plant is suitable and well maintained and all work is covered by approved Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
* Reviewing method statements and risk assessments
* Attending weekly safety and progress meetings with the Client
* Receiving, reviewing, issuing and controlling project drawings.
* Monitoring progress against the program for the construction works and producing regular progress reports.
* Reviewing QA documentation and signing off on notifications and hold points.
