Mechanical Design Engineer - ProEngineer experience essential - 3D CAD modelling of parts & assemblies - detail design work - detail drawing to BS8888 - design calculations - component selection - AutoCAD 2D - worldwide travel - based Heywood, Lancashire - salary £30 - 38K We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience of ProEngineer (ProE) who is qualified to HNC/Degree level (or equivalent) and who has had Drawing Office experience to work for a leading supplier of vacuum coating and vacuum metalising solutions. Candidates for the position of Mechanical Design Engineer (3D CAD) should have experience in detail design work; detail drawing to BS8888; design calculations; component selection and the 3D CAD modelling of parts & assemblies ProE experience is essential - the company currently uses Wildfire Reporting to the Chief Mechanical Engineer, the main functions of the position of Mechanical Design Engineer (3D CAD) will be to design Vacuum Metalising Machines from concept to detail and to liaise with customers (internal & external) as well as suppliers Successful candidates for the position of Mechanical Design Engineer (3D CAD) will be those who have the ability to contribute ideas/innovation to improve the machine design and who can assess, decision make and address situations Experience of Web/Textile Handling or vacuum systems would be of benefit as would experience of pneumatics and/or hydraulics and/or rotating machinery So, if you are self-motivated with a desire to achieve high standards; have a strong sense of problem/solution ownership and are willing to develop on existing skills, we are keen to receive your CV All candidates should be prepared and able to carry out worldwide travel Interviews will be held ASAP OTJ specialises in engineering and engineering related positions.
