CNC Machinist - CNC programming - stainless steel - tight tolerance production drawings - based in Chester - salary £24 - 27K We are looking for a CNC Machinist with experience of CNC programming and working stainless steel and the ability to work to tight tolerance production drawings Candidates for the position of CNC Machinist/Programmer (Stainless Steel/Tight Tolerances) should have an ONC or equivalent in Engineering or else a qualification (O/A level) in Mathematics and English. A Health and Safety Qualification would be desirable The ability to inspect your own work and work to production targets maintaining accurate records and documentation is essential Experience of programming MAZATROL T32/Siemens ISO is preferred but not essential as is experience of working within the Nuclear/Aerospace/Oil industry or a similar environment where product traceability is essential. The role of CNC Machinist/Programmer (Stainless Steel/Tight Tolerances) will involve working for a manufacturer of highly toleranced fabrications for the nuclear industry You would be required to operate a range of Yamazaki / Toshulin machining centres (vertical/ horizontal), as well as conventional centre lathe and vertical boring machines. Previous CNC programming experience is essential as is the ability to be able to interpret and understand working production drawings and inspect your own work The CNC Machinist/Programmer (Stainless Steel/Tight Tolerances) will need to have a positive attitude to managing the Health and Safety of themselves and others in the workplace.
