We are looking for a Supervisor (IAM) with in depth knowledge of Track Renewals discipline and excellent knowledge of Rules and Regulations, HASAW and other appropriate regulations

Candidates for the position of Supervisor (Track Renewals/HASAW) will need to have knowledge of financial controls; excellent interpersonal and man management skills and the ability to write clear and concise reports.

The ability to drive is essential and you should have Lookout, Handsignalman, PICOP, COSS and Engineering Supervisory Experience as well as being conversant with Permanent Way maintenance/track renewals and experience at Senior Infrastructure Technician or equivalent level.

The role of Supervisor (Track Renewals/HASAW/hand signalman) will involve assisting the Senior Supervisor and Renewals Manager in the planning and safe delivery of Track Renewals work packages within the financial Contractual Allowables.

Day to day duties will include:

* Assisting in the detailed planning and execution of Track Renewals Works
* Planning and directing the activities of track staff
* Assisting with and attending Whiteboard/Stage Gate meetings
* Ensuring agreed performance and other KPIs are met
* Ensuring compliance with Contract allowables, relevant Safety Legislation and Welfare Regulations.
* Ensuring works comply with contract specifications and Group and Line Standards
* Ensuring works are undertaken by competent staff.
* Ensure maximum utilisation of resources in delivery of works
* Ensuring staff have the necessary skills and are competent to undertake duties safely, efficiently and to Contract Specification.
* Ensuring all works are carried out safely
* Participating in the planning and preparation of Track Renewal works
* Coordinating/Chairing/Attending and recording site meetings.
* Producing status and progress reports on site works.
* Ensuring works are undertaken in accordance with the WPP
* Ensuring track inspections are undertaken
* Undertaking safety inspections
* Assisting in the production of WPPs and Task Briefs
* Ensuring Daily Work Returns (Planned v Actuals) are submitted on time
* Undertaking accident/incident investigations
* Ensuring adequate provision of welfare facilities
* Procuring tools, materials, small plant, lights etc
* Participating in the Divisional Safety Briefing Programme
* Attending meetings
* Being On Call when required.
