Engineering Technician

Engineering Technicians are usually time served apprentice trained or have the appropriate HNC/HND/NVQ type qualifications. They are specialists who are skilled and trained in their particular branch of engineering with a practical understanding of the general engineering concepts.

Engineering Technicians often help engineers solve technical problems. They often build or set up equipment, do experiments and collect data and calculate results. They might also help to make a model of new equipment.

Skill sets typically required are quality control, product checking, manufacturing engineering drawings, testing, assembly and data collection and job titles may include;
